1 Year Checkup

I went to the doctor today for my one year checkup and I weighed in at 24 pounds 4 ounces and was 29 1/2 inches long. I am in the 50 percentile for both height and weight. I did have a minor ear infection and I was just getting over the flu...yes, almost everyone got sick with the flu right after my party, so I didn't have to get my shots but I have to go back next week for them. The doctor told my Mommy she must be doing things right because I looked to be on track developmentally and I seemed very happy.

Little Builder Already

Uncle Jason and Auntie Heidi bought me a toy work bench for my birthday and I love it so much that they couldn't even get it wrapped! I hope that some day Uncle Jason will teach me how to build things. I think the saw is my favorite part of the workbench.

No Bday Cake For Me

I really didn't want any of my birthday cake!

Picnic Table

I love my picnic table from GB and Grandpa Weeks....thank you! I am looking forward to seeing you when you get back from Florida.

Hoehn Family Fun

I had fun wearing my birthday hat with Auntie Heidi....ok not really but she was really excited.

I loved my toy work bench so much that Auntie Heidi couldn't even wrap it...Uncle Jason said that was okay.
Nana was helping me with my lawnmower (early Easter gift from Auntie Heidi and Uncle Jason)...since the last time I played with a lawnmower Mommy let go and I did a nose dive into the carpet at the Museum Center and got a rug burn.

Grandpa was my buddy all weekend...he made me pancakes and feed me cookies and cheerios.

I had a great long weekend with all of you. Thank you for coming to Cincy to spend my first birthday with me!

Happy Birthday

I turned one today! I had a great first birthday celebrating with my friends and family. Thank you to all who were here and for all of my presents. I got spoiled! I wasn't too into opening my gifts so it was a good thing I had my friends to help.My big cake was really cool...even though they spelled my name wrong...

My New Slide

I like the jungle gym Nana and Grandpa Hoehn bought me for my birthday. The slide is really fun!

It's also fun to play peek-a-boo with my Auntie Heidi.

1 Year Pictures

While Auntie Heidi, Grandpa and Nana Hoehn were in town, we went to get my one year pictures done. Mommy even got in some pictures this time. She said it was much harder now that I am walking...I don't like to stand still!

Love my TT

Tara, Aaron and Dean came over for dinner tonight. After dinner when TT was holding Dean, I wanted to be held by her too! It was fun hanging out with her and Dean oustide of the normal weekdays.

I like to chase my buddy Dean or have him chase me! He is getting pretty quick at crawling too now though so it is getting harder. We have a lot of fun playing with each other and we are starting to talk to each other...our mommies think it is adorable!

Amanda and Kyle Spoiling Me

I am getting spoiled this weekend...Friday night Grandpa Dave came to play with me and have dinner. Tonight Kyle and Amanda came over and the spoiled me. I got to stay up late, play with Uncle Kyle's cell phone and Amanda played peekaboo and other fun games with me.

Jabbering

I am talking a lot more and I am actually getting really good at copying sounds. When I drop things off of my tray Mommy says Oh Oh and I repeat it. I also can say hi, Mama and Dada. Tonight I was chewing on a duck and after Mommy said duck a few times I started saying something close to it. Won't be long until I am talking.

Standing Up Without Assistance

Mommy noticed today for the first time that I can go to standing without holding on to anything. Sometimes it may take me a few tries but I am getting better and better.

Busted Lip

I decided to run full blast into TT's coffee table today and I busted my lip open. Daddy says I am just a boy and Mommy and TT should get used to it. No injuires slow me down though!

Turning Corners

I have gotten much better at walking in the past week. I can turn corners and walk pretty far distances without falling. The other night I walked the entire second floor without falling. I get pretty excited and sometimes squeal while I am walking. Mommy thinks it is really cute and Daddy is amazed at how good I have gotten. Emily summarized my walking very well...I look like Frankenstein when I walk...with my arms out in front of me...still trying to learn my balance.

First Haircut

Jonathan did great with his first haircut. He sat on the toy chair all by himself the entire time. There was lots to look at to keep him entertained...balloons, cartoons, other kids and Jennifer had some tricks up her sleeve too. I was very proud of him. I do have to say though, I am a little sad to see the long hair gone. He looks like a little boy now!

Easter Eggs & Grass

I like my easter basket, eggs and grass. Well not really the grass...it feels funny in my fingers and toes but I am getting used to it. I like to take it all out of my basket but then it gets all over the house and Daddy is starting to get annoyed.

Squatting

Mommy noticed for the first time this week that I can squat down to pick up a toy and stand back up without holding on to anything or falling over. She says this is a good development milestone. Go me!

Getting All My Teeth At Once

I just cut my other upper lateral incisor (right). I now have 2 teeth on bottom and 4 on top. Since I cut my teeth I haven't been waking up at 5 am crying. Mommy and Daddy are very happy!

Another Tooth

Daddy just noticed that I cut another tooth...upper left tooth next to front one.
