Who Teaching Who?

I thought I was supposed to be the one teaching my children and not the other way around. Twice this week, Jonathan has made me get out of my comfort zone and talk to adults I probably never would have. The first time was on Wednesday after school when he asked if I could go talk to this little girl's mom who he was having a fun time playing with. He wouldn't stop asking and he pointed out the mom to me while she was looking...so off I went to introduce myself and get their phone number (per Jonathan's request). Now today when we went to McDonald's as a special treat since daddy wasn't home for dinner, I could tell Jonathan was thinking about something and sure enough soon he asked me what their different colored shirts meant. I knew the blue was obviously the manager but I didn't know the difference between black and red. So once again,he said mommy can you ask them. I love his curiosity and asking questions, plus the kids were being so good, I decided why not. Black means they can train others and are working towards manager. Red is just a crew member. In case you were wondering too! I know I should have probably had him ask the questions in these incidents but for now I am enjoying learning from my outgoing son who is not afraid to ask questions.
