Butterfly Kisses

Uncle Kyle taught me what butterfly kisses were today. I now tease for butterfly kisses and then giggle. How fun!

Whoa Sunflowers

Look at how big our sunflowers got...over 14 feet tall! Can you even see me in the blue watering the tomato plant?

Auntie Heidi & Uncle Jason's House

Tonight we went to play at Auntie Heidi's and Uncle Jason's house. Jason made pizza, my favorite! It was fun to play on their swingset, wrestle in the grass and bring George home for a sleepover.

Ice Cream

Today we continued the tradition of making homemade ice cream. I was more into it this year but still think my favorite part is actually eating the ice cream. Yummy!!!

New Chair

Look at my new fun chairs that Uncle Gary made for Izzy and me. I really liked my chair as I know have one to match Nana and Grandpa. As for Izzy, well...she was still not awake yet when we took this picture.

Tonight I got to stay up late as it was the last night at the cabin. We had a popcorn and margarita party (well only popcorn for me) in the downstairs. I entertained myself with dancing, singing, building blocks and of course target practice using blankie bear instead of balls.
Here I am brushing my teeth with Nana...trying to calm down for the night. Auntie Heidi taught me a new song to sing while I brush my teeth "Up like the sun, down like the rain, back and forth like a choo-choo train."

Welcome to the Jungle

Welcome to the Sylvan Lake jungle. Daddy likes to take me out on his "boat" (i.e., canoe). Today we decided to take Mommy and boy was that fun! Before this part of the video, we were doing "tippy tippy" where Daddy and I rock back and forth and make the boat tip side to side...Mommy DID NOT like this. Then we took her to the jungle and she got tickled by the weeds. I thought this was hilarious. Of course as soon as we get to the other side of the lake I decide I have to go potty. So Daddy pulls my swim trunks down, stands me on his leg and lets me pee off the side of the canoe. The cabin has taught me a few things about going potty...I got to go in the lake when it was urgent and daddy also taught me how to pee on a tree. Now that is cool!!!

Special Drink

It was Nana and Grandpa's turn to cook tonight and Nana planned a Hawaiian night. She made Mai Thi's for everyone and I got a special drink too...just the fruit juices. I wasn't too sure about it at first but then I really liked it. I especially liked my fun animal hanging on my glass.

Ahhhh

Just relaxing at the lake....how nice...

Twister

I think you can say that I know my body parts and colors so Nana put me to the test playing Twister. I did pretty well. Oh and I like to do somersaults now just like how Amanda taught me how to do them.

Swim and more swimming

I can't get enough of swimming. In my first few days up at the lake I had to go swimming in the lake, the pool and the hot tub. I have no fear of the water and actually will get my face wet on my own. In the pool I like to wear my googles too. Put some water wings on me and off I go, swimming all on my own. I also like to jump off the edge and have someone catch me and use Izzy's kickboard as my waterski and go skiing around the pool.

Turtle Races

Today I got to go to Nisswa for the turtle races, Nana's idea. Even though I got the slowest turtle it was still fun. As you can tell from the video, I still need to learn the concept of "gently place the turtle back in the pail." Maybe next year. I was contestant 264, next year Grandpa Gordy has a strategy to avoid the long wait, we will see.

Bugs Bugs Bugs

Look at what Uncle Jason made me...my very own bug box!!! Auntie Heidi bought me a butterfly net and magnifying glass to go along with it. I love it!!!! So far we have caught butterflies, frogs, dragonflies, and other bugs. Thank you Uncle Jason and Auntie Heidi!!!

Duck Races

Hoehn family tradition to have a duck race the week of vacation. I am in a "fear" phase right now and I was really not happy about my duck being in the water...I cried the whole time. Atfer the races though I told my Mommy that "I loved the duck races. They are my favorite." So who knows. Candi was the big winner.

Here I am helping Izzy take all the ducks back to the cabin. On the way home I talked about how much I loved the duck and races...

Tools Tools Tools

We all have matching hats to wear at the lake with lights on them. Really it is Grandpa Gordy's and my thing. I got to stay up late tonight and have a bonfire with all of the Hoehn's. I liked this bonfire much better than the one on the 4th of July...no loud fireworks.

Here is the Church

Daddy taught me how to say "Hail Mary" which we now say every night before bed. We are also working on getting all of the correct hand motions down for "Father, Son, Holy Spirit, Amen" I also get the order of the shoulders wrong. Nana taught me this...

Conversation

For those of you who haven't seen me in awhile, I am talking A LOT. I basically can have a conversation with you and I love to ask "WHY?" I am also very in to "pretend play." This video is an example for you.

Happy 60th Bday Grandpa Gordy

We celebrated Grandpa Gordy's 60th birthday at the lake with his family. It was a surprise...even for me, as everyone thought I would spoil the surprise by letting it slip...they were probably right. Here I am trying to hide with Jacob and Logan so Grandpa Gordy couldn't see us...eventually I got the idea.

Dance Moves

Nana taught me the "swim"

Boats Boats Boats

I learned a lot about boats at the lake...between Grandpa Gordy's pontoon, the "yellow" (speed) boat, jet ski, "Jason's boat" (fishing boat), "Daddy's boat" (canoe) and kayak's, I think I have it all covered now. I think the jet ski might be my favorite. Although I really did enjoy helping drive the speed boat, I was the "captain", and I really liked jumping off the back into the water and climbing up the water.

Bonfire!

We all have matching hats to wear at the lake with lights on them. Really it is Grandpa Gordy's and my thing. I got to stay up late tonight and have a bonfire with all of the Hoehn's. I liked this bonfire much better than the one on the 4th of July...no loud fireworks.

Jet Ski

Daddy goes fast....way faster than anyone else will let me go on the jet ski. When we got off the jet ski we got in a bit of trouble because mommy could tell we had gone fast...our hair sticking straight up was a dead give away. In this picture you can tell that I have already figured out that the key needs to go in the jet ski for it to go fast. Go Daddy go!

Doesn't Get Much Better

Doesn't get much better than this...hanging out on the lake and playing in the sand with my buddy Izzy. What more could you ask for? I enjoyed having kids to play with this week...Jacob, Logan and Izzy.

Pigs Stink

On my drive to MN, I smelled some pigs in Indiana and said "pigs stink." I had to tell Farmer Denny that pigs stunk and at first he wasn't sure how to respond but as the week went on, it all got funnier...Denny's respons was "Money money money!" Now I say "Pigs stink" wait a few seconds and say "money money money!"

Tubing

Do you think I am old enough to go tubing or water skiing? Well maybe not and especially not if Uncle Horst is driving! I witnessed Uncle Jason take a tumble water skiing and I was very distraught about the whole thing...they had to bring me back to the beach and off the boat. Guess I need a few more years.

Two Little Blackbirds

My Great Grandma Joanie used to sing this to my mommy and now my Nana sings it to me...

Fishing

How lucky am I?!? I have two of my very own fishing pools at the lake that Grandpa Gordy bought me. Here I am fishing with Uncle Jason and Daddy. I also got to go fishing out on the pontoon with all the boys.

1-2-3-Jump

One of my favorite things to do at the lake this summer was to take the boat out and jump off the back into the water! How fun! I could do this over and over and over again.
I also really enjoy getting to drive Grandpa Gordy and Nana's boat...watch out though, I still have a few driving techniques to learn. Really all I have mastered is honking the horn.

Paul Bunyan

Here I am in Brainerd, MN with Paul Bunyan...whoa is he a big man! Conveniently there is a really nice rest stop right outside Brainerd, with this statue, which we frequented often. Potty training before a 14+ hour car ride and several 2+ hour car rides back and forth between the Twin Cities and the cabin may not have been the best idea my mom ever had. But I can tell you which bathrooms are "nice and clean."

Tiki Bar

Holding down the tiki bar today with my star sunglasses. Cool dude!

Can you tell I say "cheeeesssseeee" whenever pictures are taken of me now?

Relaxing with Auntie Heidi

Such a tough day....needed to relax on the massage pillow with my other pillow Nana made me while Auntie Heidi read me books. Auntie Heidi is really good at reading books. My favorite book now is "What's up Duck?". It's all about opposites and Auntie Heidi has taught them all to me so well!

MN Friends

During my few days in the "cities" I got to play with my MN friends.

Yesterday we went to Ellie and Zachery's house. We played inside with toys, rode bikes outside, played in the backyard playset and went to the park. I was tired!!!

Today Luke came over today to play. We had pizza and played, although I wasn't up for sharing my toys very well...we did play the piano together and really enjoyed that. I got a new tool box and drill today from Nana and Grandpa and I wouldn't let Luke play with it...though I really wouldn't let anyway touch it.

Gator

Grandpa Gordy, I think you need to buy a Gator. Ok, if you don't want to buy one for yourself, can you buy me this one???

Trouble

Tonight after dinner Grandpa Gordy and I went to go get in "trouble" while Nana and Mommy finished dinner. Well we got caught running around the putting green...I thought this was a blast...running around, throwing the ball around, etc.

MN Lake

We made it to MN perfectly fine. I travelled really well in the car for our 14 hour car ride. I am getting spoiled by the nice weather, the sand, the lake, and all the attention.

You might not get me out of the water all July.
Auntie Heidi bought me a wiggle waterpillar sprinkler...how fun!
Sharing treats with Grandpa Gordy looking at the lake.

Playing the ukulele with Daddy...oh and Grandpa Gordy found me a harmonica too. I really do have my own band now.

So Peaceful

Don't you just love the cabin? There is so much to do and enjoy, yet very relaxing. I went out on a boat ride with Grandpa Gordy and Daddy and they next thing, I am fast asleep!
Check out the beautiful sky too....

Mr. Fix-it

I love to fix things...from Mimi's front porch to windows. This morning I decided to take all of my toys out of the corner and created a very straight line as my gate and then was busy fixing the front window.
