Presents!

Jonathan sure did get spoiled with presents for his 4th birthday! Here are some pictures of a few of the presents.

Diana

Jonathan's birthday party was a bit chaotic for Miss Diana. She was a little overwhelmed and had to be held or watched closely as she almost got stepped on a few times by the older kids.

She loves to play under the table.

JT 4th Birthday Party

Oops I think Mommy bought too many balloons for Jonathan's birthday party...he almost flew away. :-) Note to self, 2 dozen balloons is probably more than enough for a party (they almost didn't all fit in the truck).

It was a space/rocket theme party. Jonathan picked the red border and green writing (his two favorite colors). I thought it would look like Christmas but I think they did a great job with the cake.

John Deere

Some little boy is a proud owner of a John Deere bike.  We drove all the way (yes, I thought it was far...20 minutes...but as Brad said anything longer than 5 minutes is far for me in my "world") to Florence, KY to go to a John Deere store.  Jonathan was in heaven!  Diana even seemed to enjoy herself.  Thank you to Nana and Grandpa Gordy for buying Jonathan his first big boy bike with training wheels!

Birthday Presents

Can you say "Spoiled?!?" Jonathan had a great birthday! Golf clubs from GB & Grandpa Weeks (we sure hope we got lessons included with them though), Tball stuff from Mom & Dad (a real metal bat and hard ball...Mom is scared)... A pirate costume that Nana made

A new bike from Nana and Grandpa Gordy A spaceship from Auntie Heidi and Uncle Jason

I think it is safe to say this little man got everything he wanted for his birthday.

Happy 4th Birthday Jonathan

It is so hard to believe that my little boy is 4 already! Honestly, it just makes me feel old to say that I have a 4-year-old. It made Jonathan's day today having Grandpa Gordy and Nana fly in for his birthday! When I asked him what he wanted for his birthday dinner he said..."Dewey's pizza. And I want to eat THERE!" So that's what we did. He loves to watch the cooks making the pizza and have them be silly...throwing flour, tossing the dough up in the air...it's a real treat! Plus with Diana, we don't eat out much these days.

We did come up for birthday cupcakes though.

Firehouse Visit

Jonathan got to go to the Hyde Park firehouse today with his preschool class. I opted not to go as it was Diana's naptime but Shonda sent me some great pictures of the trip. Jonathan said it was a really long walk...it's probably about 4 blocks from school...but long blocks.

His teacher got dressed in all of the fireman gear.

HPPE Egg Hunt

Jonathan had fun at the HPPE egg hunt today. He found his 12 eggs and ate all of the candy...the first year that has happened. He had the most fun running around with all of his friends and playing afterwards.

Basketball Game

Brad got tickets to the division II final basketball game and took Jonathan to the game.  Jonathan was super excited leading up to the game and at the game.  I think his favorite part was when the players gave him a high five.  Since the game, he has been wanting to play basketball and when we do he says "Mom, hold your hand up like this and I will walk by and give you a high five."  He also got fruit punch from the concession stand, first time for that.  At the end of the game, confetti fell from the ceiling...he thought that was pretty neat and still talks about it.

Police Station

Jonathan got to go to the Fairfax police station today with his preschool class. He got to sit in the judges chair and bang the gavel.
Go inside a jail cell...which he wasn't crazy about.

Even play inside police cars!

Some kids got a little wild with the sirens and intercom. Jonathan didn't care for this at all and plugged his ears. It was funny!

This is his class with the police officier.

Sibling Love

Diana was kind of being a hot mess for pictures so we didn't get very many good ones of the kiddos together. Jonathan at one point said, I don't want to hold her anymore. It was funny.

Diana 10 Months

So taking pictures of Diana these days is near impossible. She is constantly drooling as you can tell by the soaked shirt.

This is her new trick...I think she is preparing to stand from sitting but not quite sure. All of two pictures taken before she ripped off the sticker.Oh so proud of herself!

I even tried to put the 10 month sticker on the wall and take pictures but she was too focused on the sticker. I kept thinking I would try another day to get better pictures but it never happened. She is too much on the go these days!
