Winkelman Reunion

Thank you to my mom for organizing a Winkelman reunion in Tomah, WI on our way to meet Brad in Milwaukee. I don't get to see the Winkelman side of the family very often so I cherished our visit. Thank you to Bob & Rosie for letting all of us invade your house. The kids really enjoyed swimming in the pool at the hotel and I was happy to catch up with people. Great Grandma Joanie and Great Grandpa Art made the trip too making it extra special. So thankful the visit worked out.

Ring-Around-the-Rosie

One of Diana's favorite things these days, is Ring-Around-the-Rosie. I can only do it once or twice before I am dizzy and need to stop but she will just keep going and going. Auntie Heidi and Uncle Jason were good sports.

Grandma Carol Visit

I am so thankful when I get to see Grandma Carol during our MN visits. She is such a wonderful lady and also has so many insightful things to say. As you can tell from the picture, Diana is still terrified of dogs. I was impressed we got her as close as we did to Bonny. During her visit, Nana's clock played and I took a picture for the kids to look at while we are in Ohio. The kids love this clock and will ask Nana to make it "play" when we are on Facetime.

Thank You MN!

A very BIG thank you to Grandpa Gordy, Nana, Auntie Heidi and Uncle Jason for everything (I wouldn't even know where to start the list)! We had an amazing July in MN and really enjoyed our time with you. Thank you!

Sparklers

Diana got to see sparklers for the first time tonight. She wasn't too sure about them at first and never did hold one but she enjoyed watching Jonathan with them.

Rough Life

It's been a rough life for Jonathan at the cabin. Both kids are going to be lost when we go home for lots of reasons, but mainly due to the lack of the watercraft we have in Ohio.

Car Race

Jonathan got spoiled tonight by having Auntie Heidi, Uncle Jason and Grandpa Gordy take him to the car races. Jonathan was smiling ear to ear before they went and went they got home, super late! One lucky boy!

Water Fight

The kids having some good ol' fashion fun. It did start with Diana having to clean off the dock from where she went potty. Potty training is not going well at the cabin. I am just going to wait until we get home to try it again.

Glass Boat

Grandpa Gordy had bought a scotch/cigar cruise for the older boys but surprised the rest of us by arranging for all of us to go on the glass bottom boat, which is used by Camp Confidence across the bay from the cabin. It was very nice of Grandpa Gordy to arrange this as it was a special moment having all of the Hoehn's in one boat, and a cool one at that. We did end up seeing some fish through the glass and the kids loved watching the bubbles from the motor.

Paddle Board

Thank you cousin Brady for teaching Jonathan how to paddle board. I am not sure you knew what you were getting into when you offered to take Jonathan out with you but he sure had fun!

Fishy Fishy

Fishy Fishy in the lake...where are you? Diana and Jonathan are looking for you. Oh boy, looks like they both found some fish!

Loaf of Bread

Jonathan was so excited this morning...the boys were taking him fishing! He was running all around helping pack up stuff for the boat. Pretty soon he comes into the kitchen and says, I need something..."I am hungry, need a snack," he went to a drawer and grabbed the bag of candy corn. Nana said "Well honey, how about something a little healthier." Jonathan grabbed a loaf of bread from the same drawer, threw it over his shoulder and said "I'll take this too" Nana said, "Well let me at least toast a piece for you" and Jonathan said, "Nah" and would have walked out the door had we let him. My story does not do it justice, as normal, it was hilarious.

Baby Shower

All of the Hoehn's were at the cabin today for a baby shower for Brady & Chrissy and their daughter Kinsley who was born on June 8th and Jason & Heidi, expected delivery August 29th. It's so fun celebrating more babies! The other cousin's enjoyed opening presents. It's funny by the end of the opening, Izzy, Emme and Diana were all by Chrissy and Jonathan was by Heidi...girl vs boy presents.

Big Helper

Diana is such a big "helper." She loves to help in the kitchen...dumping, stirring, tasting. Today Nana and Diana made cupcakes for the baby shower this afternoon.

Concert

As part of the baby shower, we had a concert! Very very fun! My kids thoroughly enjoyed it and provided some entertainment.

Boat Cleaning

Diana takes her boat very seriously, it must be clean! Well, actually I think she just likes to play with the water and be in the boat. We did take the "clean" boat down the beach to visit the Hoehn's and the kids enjoyed the playground.

Diana's First Jet Ski Ride

We might not get her off of this!

Lotion

Diana and Nana have this thing about lotion. I think it's because Nana let Diana put on lotion by herself when she watched her in February and now it is a thing. It's cute. Also, look at the adorable pigtails my cousin Melissa was able to put in Diana's hair. Grandpa Gordy takes Diana down every morning to the "beauty parlor." I love Diana's expression too about the jet skiing taking off fast.

Nissawa Turtle Races

Jonathan recruited Lisa to come along to the turtle races with us. We didn't have any winning turtles but it still was fun. It was very HOT so we didn't last long and of course had to stop and get ice cream on the way home even though Grandpa Gordy did buy root beer floats while we were waiting for the races to start.
