Let's Go Wild

Jonathan, Brad and Grandpa Gordy went to the Wild game with Uncle Horst on Sunday.  Tonight Heidi, Jason, Noah and I got to go too.  Nana stayed home and had a pajama party with Diana.  We all had a wonderful time at the game and I think Nana enjoyed her special time with Diana.  Thanks Grandpa Gordy and Nana!

Happy Birthday Jason

Thanks for letting us celebrate your birthday with you Uncle Jason, yesterday and today.

The Works

Coming to The Works is becoming a tradition when we visit MN.  The kids love it so much, Nana and Grandpa Gordy are now officially members.  Jonathan is all about science these days and Diana had fun exploring.

Boys and Their Toys

Uncle Jason sure has the toys!  Jonathan is in heaven at Uncle Jason's house.  Just for fun they took a tractor ride in the subzero weather and then they got to take Noah's wagon for a spin in the basement.  Such a fun Uncle they have!  Who's birthday was it today anyway?

Sledding

We took the kids to the sledding hill that I grew up going to.  Diana went down one time and decided she would hang out in the car the rest of the time.  She was perfectly content in there just people watching and eating snacks.  Noah also slept in the car the whole time.  Jonathan went down the hill a couple times with Brad, Auntie Heidi and Nana, me once and then we lost him to two cute blond girls.  Jonathan can make friends anywhere and he is still quite fond of the girls.  Jonathan could have stayed sledding all day.  It was really nice out, he ended up just being in a long sleeve shirt by the end of it.  We are trying to enjoy the beautiful weather today as it is going to get COLD!  Jonathan also went cross country skiing this afternoon with Uncle Jason and Auntie Heidi.  Brad and I went to a wedding, thanks everyone for watching/entertaining my kids!

Special Christmas

The kids got to celebrate Christmas with the Hoehn side today.  Diana got a very special homemade quilt from Nana.  Diana was instantly in love with the quilt.  Jonathan and Noah got authentic baseballs signed by a MLB umpire from a Twins (Noah) and a Reds (Jonathan) game.

Can't Get Enough

We all can't get enough of Noah!  Boy has he changes since we saw him in October.  Looking forward to spending the week with him.

Christmas Morning

Christmas morning couldn't come fast enough for Jonathan.  4:52 AM was our wake up call.  He was so excited!  We wouldn't let him open any presents until Diana was awake.  Finally at 6 am I told him he could go wake up Diana.  She was conked out still, he walks up to her bed and says softly, "Diana, Santa came" and she bounded out of bed and headed downstairs.  What a fun Christmas!  The kids must have been good because Santa brought them what was on their list...an aircraft carrier for Jonathan and a bath baby for Diana.  Diana's Benny the Bull was also a big hit by both kids.

Christmas Day

What a fun Christmas!  The kids are a perfect age and I love watching my kids with cousin Natalie.  Thank you to GB & Grandpa Weeks for hosting such an amazing Christmas.
Diana tricked Natalie into going potty.  Diana said she was going to go and took Natalie by the hand and walked her to the bathroom.  She told Natalie to go first.  After Natalie went, she said "Diana your turn" and Diana said, "I already went" and walked away.
Diana knew which presents were her's, not because she can read, but because they were all wrapped in Hello Kitty pink paper.  Thank goodness GB didn't wrap any of Natalie's in that paper or we would have had issues.

Jonathan was very excited about his body book and skeleton puzzle
The girls kept Grandpa busy opening boxes.  The dinnerware set the girls got was definitely a hit.

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve was different this year, just being the four of us.  Jonathan had a good time at church getting to see all of his friends.  Diana was actually really well behaved considering we had to get there 45 minutes before Mass even started.  I am hoping the kids sleep tonight, they are very very very excited for Santa to come.

Little Baker

I have lost Jonathan to legos when it comes to baking these days.  Thankfully I have this little helper now.  She had a blast making cookies.  Decorating with sprinkles was by far her favorite.  We have never gone through so many sprinkles before.  She gets her sprinkle decorating from her Auntie Heidi.

Jonathan's Christmas Concert

Jonathan had his Christmas concert at school today.  I messed with my camera and clearly did not get good pictures.  Jonathan had to read some lines at the beginning of the concert, which he was just assigned 2 days before the concert.  He did a good job and wasn't nervous at all!  Then he had a dancing part in one of the songs.  Made me laugh, I loved it!!  Thank you to GB and Grandpa for coming to the concert with Diana and me, and for taking us out for pizza afterwards.

Our Little Angel

Diana brought us home a gift today from preschool.  A lovely decorated Christmas tree envelope with a Christmas Tree hand print magnet with our very own Diana as the angel on top!  She was as proud of it as I was happy to receive it.  No wonder she didn't get to go play in the muscle room at school the past few weeks, she has been busy.

POPS Santa

It has been a crazy past month, I will go back and post more stuff but wanted to post a picture of the kids with Santa before Christmas is over. This was taken at the church holiday party. Diana told Santa she wants 2 babies and Jonathan asked for an aircraft carrier with airplanes.

Diana's Music Class

Diana just finished her first 6 week session of music class.  She is in class with her preschool friends, Olivia (in picture below), Lauren and Monika.  All of the girls really seem to be loving the class.  Today us parents got to go in class and observe what they have been learning.  I love the keyboard time they get.

Snow Day

Snow party at the Weeks' house today!  Alex, Evan, Paxton and Connor joined in on the fun.  Came inside to warm up with hot chocolate and it then hit me how many boys really are in the neighborhood (this wasn't even all of them).  No one will be messing with Diana with having all of these "brothers."  Not that I would advise anyone to mess with her anyway.
