Bartender

Jonathan is loving the house here in palm springs...it is all decorated in a safari theme so he loves finding the elephants and other animals throughout the house. He also likes the bar area and has played bartender several times already. They funniest moment so far was when Nana asked for a screwdriver and Jonathan asked "what are you going to do with it?". I love that he thought Nana was going to fix something, when she was thinking a cocktail.

Palm Springs

We made it to Palm Springs safely. The kids travelled perfectly, I was very lucky! I hope they travel that well home. Our first flight to Chicago, was by myself with the two kiddos. Diana slept the whole way and Jonathan watched his new Curious George DVD. When we landed in Chicago we had to wait about 20 minutes for our gate to open up...the kids got a little antsy but so was everyone else on the plane. Once we got off the plane, Jonathan ran straight into grandpa Gordy's arms. Sooo cute! The second flight was long but both kids were super well behaved so it was not nearly as bad as I thought it would be. Diana ate and ate...bought her a level 3 nipple size for her bottles and she LOVED it...downed all of her bottles!! Jonathan watched some movies and showed Nana and Grandpa Gordy how to use the iPad. Before we new it we were in California!

Jonathan has been bouncing off the walls with excitement and won't let Grandpa Gordy out of his sight. Adjusting to the time change will be an issue as Jonathan was up at 4am...poor grandpa Gordy as he woke him up. Diana was also up but I made her go back to bed and she has pretty much adjusted to the time change.

It is beautiful here and am looking forward to the week with my parents...we of course will be missing Brad, Heidi and Jason.

My goal this week is to get the blog updated so stay tuned and will have to look back at posts for Nov and Dec.

Diana 8 Months

Diana is 8 months old! She did not cooperate for pictures this month, she's too busy these days. She is not rolling over as much as she was because she is back scooting. Any time you put her on her back she basically back arches to move to where she wants to go. She is getting better about being on her belly. She is still not sleeping through the night, although it is getting better...I usually only have to get up once a night with her, normally around 4 am. She gets to eat a fruit at lunch and a vegetable at dinner. Pears and sweet potatoes are her favorite. She loves her puffs and is quite well at picking them up, we still need to work on getting them in the mouth as she doesn't make it all the time or she keeps her fist closed with the puff in her hand. She has found her voice and likes to scream at the top of her lungs, I find it ear piercing. She also likes to pull hair, mine or Jonathan's in particular. I would say her favorite things are 1) to play peek-a-boo especially when it is with Jonathan, 2) her feet, never find her with her socks on after nap and 3) Sophie, her toy teething giraffe. When I asked Jonathan what else about Diana being 8 months old he said "She likes to drool and she doesn't have any teeth yet."

Carrots

It was sooo beautiful out today, we played outside for a good majority of it. In between playing football and digging, we decided to pull up the last of the carrots in our garden. There were some HUGE carrots in there it was nuts!

Tip The Barn

Diana loves to tip her barn over...it's usually the first thing she does to it when I place it in front of her.
