Happy Easter

Day 2 on the Hill

Well it is winter wonderland here in Cincy finally.  The kids haven't had school since Friday and it isn't looking good for the rest of the week either.  We woke up to another 3 inches of snow today and the kids were pumped to go sledding again.  This time Jonathan brought his jump and  was the hit of the hill.  Other kids braved the jump and thoroughly enjoyed it.  My friend even went over the jump with her boy in a sled.  Nuts!  At one point, Diana said "We shouldn't have brought the jump.  Everyone is going crazy over it!"  She was jealous because no one wanted to sled with her anymore as they all just wanted to do the jump.  She managed though and was determined to keep going.

Brad was filmed downtown this morning coming out of Ash Wednesday Mass during the current weather conditions report.  Proud of him for his dedication, making it to 7 am Mass even with all of the snow. I commend him for his continued support in making us all more faith focused and better individuals.

Snowboarding

2nd Snow Fall of the Year

It's hard to believe that this is only our second snow fall of the year.  The kids could not wait to get out there and go sledding/snowboarding.  Diana used to not want to go sledding but after we went tubing in Minnesota, she is all about it.  She still would prefer to go down with Jonathan but she goes by herself too and flies!!!

Hockey

Get ready!  Jonathan is going to play hockey!  He is signed up to do a Learn to Play hockey session starting February 8th for 9 weeks.  He got fitted for his hockey equipment on Monday night and has tried it on every day as soon as he walks in the door from school.  I think it is safe to say he is excited.  We will see how he feels about it in a few weeks.  We are all about exposure and think this is one of the few sports he hasn't tried yet, so what the heck, why not.  

Aquarium

Brad has been in Chicago for work this past week and today, so the kids and I headed off to the aquarium this morning.  Jonathan has been teasing to go for awhile now and he had a blast!  He was definitely more into it than Diana, as she was afraid of the sharks but she loved the penguins.  There was worker talking about the penguins and said if anyone had any questions, to feel free and ask.  Of course Jonathan went over and asked questions which isn't surprising to me but Diana also asked questions.  She probably asked about 6 different questions throughout our time watching the penguins.  I was very happy to see her come out of her shell and not be as a timid and shy as she can be at times. We had a great morning!
