Snow Tunnel

Not too sure about my tunnel at first but finally I went through. Still I don't like to get my hands dirty or wet from the snow.

Go Wild!

I went to my first hockey game tonight. Boy was it exciting! We weren't sure how much of the game I would watch, but I sat in my seat the whole time and was mesmerized by it.
I sat in Grandpa Gordy's lap almost the whole game and was asking all sorts of questions. And of course we got popcorn! Auntie Heidi bought me a new hat that looks like a helmet and a play hockey stick and puck! After the game, I got to try out my new stick...not sure how many other kids are allowed to do this...everyone thinks I am a natural!
Ever since going to the game, I play hockey almost everyday. Either I play inside with the hockey stick and puck Auntie Heidi bought me or I play outside with the net and stick GB and Grandpa Weeks bought me. Future hockey player?!?!

Snow, Snow and more Snow

I had a lot of fun in Minnesota this year during the week we were there after Christmas. They had record snow falls, which made it extra fun. The snow banks were taller than me!!! We build a snow fort and a snow "tunnel" in the cities. Then at the cabin we went snowmobiling, ice fishing and built a snowman! I think my favorite thing we did though was go to the Wild hockey game. I am obsessed with hockey now. Auntie Heidi and Uncle Jason bought me a Wild hat that looks like a helmet and a toy hockey stick and puck. I think I have played hockey every day since.

Sleeping Bag

Grandma Joanie and Grandpa Art bought me a sleeping bag this year for Christmas. I can't wait to take it on sleepovers at my friends. At this point though I love laying in the living room in it.

Good Boy

I must have been a good boy this year. Santa delivered lots of presents!!! He ate the ginerbread cookie I left for him, drank his milk and the reindeer ate the radishes I left out.

My favorite toys this year are my swords and my Buzz Lightyear dart gun. Mommy didn't realize she was going to have such "boy" toys in the house so early.

This is the only picture of Mommy and me from Christmas. I am in that "phase" of making such pretty smiles for pictures, so Mommy tried tickling me to get me to smile.

Big Brother

In June (June 24th due date), I will be a BIG BROTHER!!! I am very excited, although not sure if I completely understand what it all means. 90% of the time I say I want a brother but occasionally I will say a sister.

Funny Things I Say

Mommy has been meaning to post about the funny things I say/do for awhile now, so some of these are things I have been doing for awhile:

1. "That's what I am talking about"
2. "No, I do it!"
3. "That's my favorite" or "Green is my favorite color"
4. "I have a good idea..."
5. "Please I can...(have a cookie, read one more book, etc.)"
6. "I smell/hear like something"
7. "No I am not XXX (Jonathan, rascal, etc), I am 'Lickety-split'"
8. "You seen this before?" or "You seen this for awhile?" (this came about at Thanksgiving in FL, while I was swimming and doing different "moves")
9. "That make you happy" (after eating a green bean)
10. "When I get bigger...(I am going to be tall enough to reach the sky)"

2 1/2 Yr Check-up

I had my 2 and 1/2 year check-up today, well really it was like 2 year and 9 month as we were late scheduling the appointment. I weighed 34.5 lbs and was 36.5 inches tall. I know it didn't grow very much from my 2 year check-up but today was the first day that I stood against the wall and they measured me that way. The doctor said there sometimes is a disconnect then so not to be worried. I also got to look into a smiley face machine which tests my vision, we don't have the results yet. Since I am a big boy and potty trained, they also took a urine sample...got to pee in a cup for the first time. I had to get one shot and I didn't cry, although I did say "owie" after it. I brought my doctor kit too, which was a good idea because I got to use all my "tools" when the doctor was. She liked them! Mommy and I both have a nasty cough right now but she said it is just that time of the year and not to worry. Although I did have the start of an ear-infection but we are going to wait and see if it heals on it's own. I haven't been complaining about it.

Decorating Christmas Tree

Decorating Christmas Tree

I enjoyed helping with putting up the Christmas tree this year. It was fun to look at all of the different ornaments and Mommy showed me which ones were mine.

Santa Again

We saw Santa again...this time at the St. Mary's holiday party. It's a good thing too because I forgot to tell him that I wanted a Buzz Lightyear for Christmas.

Let it Snow

Yea! We finally got enough snow to go out and play in! I love my new snow shovel Grandpa Gordy bought me when we went and got "in trouble." My favorite is to throw snowballs though...or snow shovels full of snow...

Saw Santa

Santa came to the HPPE holiday party today. I sat on his lap and told him that I wanted lots of swords and a batcave (Trio Lego) for Christmas. I was a little afriad at first but I didn't cry like last year.

Thanksgiving in FL

I had a wonderful time in FL for Thanksgiving. The weather was beautiful, best we ever have had. I spent the entire time swimming in GB and Grandpa Weeks' pool. We did go to the beach one day and I enjoyed that. Especially the BIG hole daddy dug for me! One night Mommy and Daddy had a "date night" so GB and Grandpa Weeks took me on a golf cart ride on the golf course and we went on a gator hunt.

The travel was good, no glitches. Mommy says you can tell I have been on serveral flights. On the flight down to FL, I went to the bathroom with Daddy and came back with 2 bags of pretzels, 2 cookies and 2 peanuts. On the flight home, we had to wait for the flight attendant to deliver drinks to first class. While I was waiting, I asked the other flight attendant, "Please I can have a cookie?" The flight attendant asked Mommy if it was ok and then she gave me a cookie. Then I asked for pretzels. She laughed and gave me pretzel's and a Twix! I was so proud of myself while I walked back to my seat.

Teasing Grandpa & Daddy in the Pool

Googles - Water Wings

Look at me go in the pool all by myself, with the help of my water wings. I also like to wear googles like Daddy.

Love the pool

Slumber Party

Tonight Alex and Evan came over to play. Alex brought over Buzz Lightyear and the Toy Story movies, so after we ate pizza and played with all of the toys, we watched Toy Story! It was a lot of fun! I wish they could come over every night!

Christmas Shopping

I like to look through the Christmas ads and pick out what I want for Christmas. Every time it's the same thing...the Trio Batman Cave.

Goin' Fishing

Auntie Heidi and Uncle Jason bought me a fishing game for Halloween. I love to catch the fish and even found a new way to play with the game...I cook the fish in my pans and hold my ketchup and mustard in the game.

Froggie - Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween! Look at my froggie costume Nana made for me...she even knitted the hat...in one night! Thanks Nana! I had fun trick-or-treating but I think I enjoyed handing out candy with Daddy just as much.

Trick-or-Treating

Trick-or-treating with my friends, Alex, Evan, Mackenzie and Katie at Paxton and Connor's house.

Halloween Card

Thank you Grandma Joanie & Grandpa Art for the Halloween card and special treat!

Bug Box

Grandpa Gordy and I made a bug box today. Thanks to Grandpa Gordy's busy partner's wife, I had a kit to build the bug box. I still really love tools and fixing things.

Turner Farm

Today we went to Turner Farm to learn about farming and feed the animals. It was so fun to have all of my friends there. We had 33 people! We picked turnips which we fed to the sheep, we saw the pigs, picked pumpkins and rode on the horse drawn wagon.

Eating Out

I like to eat out these days. I even know how to ask the waiter by myself for chocolate milk to drink. So adult!

Nature Walk

Today Mommy, Nana, Grandpa Gordy and I went on a nature walk. We picked leaves and then colored with them when we got home. We found walking sticks to hike with and did what I like best...explore! It was fun! We also had a picnic lunch and while we were eating, I spotted 3 deer. Mommy thought I was just "pretending" like I do, but there actually were 3 deer. Grandpa says I am ready to go hunting with him.

We had Uncle Kyle over for dinner tonight for his birthday. I enjoyed helping open his presents and blowing out his candles!
